FISM Italy 2025: A Journey to Turin

July 14, 2025, marks the beginning of a truly enchanting experience. For five days, the city of Turin will become the epicenter of the magical world as it hosts the FISM World Championship of Magic.

The atmosphere promises to be nothing short of spectacular, akin to a footballer stepping onto the field at Wembley Stadium—an unforgettable pinnacle in any magician’s career.

  • Grand Prix Competition

  • Lectures

  • Exclusive Events

  • Dealers

This prestigious event brings together magicians from around the globe to compete and celebrate the art of magic in a new and exciting location each time.

But how is a host city selected?

Why Turin, Italy?

Similar to the Olympics, a host city is chosen every three years for the FISM World Championship of Magic through a vote among all the FISM regional members.

Turin, Italy, emerged as the winning bid, announced in Quebec at the 2022 FISM World Championships.

But Turin is no ordinary city. Here, magic transcends the stage—it flows through the streets, resonates in the architecture, and weaves itself into the city’s rich history. Turin is a city of contrasts, where science meets mystery, and reason harmonizes with the arcane.

This unique blend of rationality and mystical charm makes it the ideal host for FISM 2025.

Is it Torino? or Turin?

Both names are correct, but they are used in different contexts. "Turin" is the English name for the city, while "Torino" is the Italian name. So if you're speaking or writing in English, you might say "Turin," but if you're speaking or writing in Italian, you'd say "Torino."

Explore Turin, Italy: A Place in Magical Lore

The city itself is steeped in magical lore.

It is said to form the apex of two of the world’s most famous magical triangles: the White Magic Triangle (alongside Prague and Lyon) and the Black Magic Triangle (with London and San Francisco).

Strolling through its streets feels like stepping into another dimension, where the boundary between reality and the supernatural blurs.

From the symmetrical Baroque palaces to the towering Mole Antonelliana, Turin’s landmarks whisper ancient secrets, embodying a history intertwined with the history of magic.
